This giant margarita glass is perfect for making your margarita party a lot easier on the refills. It can hold up to 33 ounces of margarita which is just about as big as you’re gonna get.
Load the rim up with salt and you are ready to drink! If you want to put decorations in your margarita glass then this will hold pretty much anything you can think of.
Since a lot of people who like giant margaritas also like to decorate them this should work perfect.
On a side note, it also has the ability to double-up as a candy dish or something similar which makes it nice.
You can challenge anyone else to find a bigger giant glass for margaritas and see how they come up empty handed!
It’s made from 100% blown glass so while it may be large, it’s also going to be a little more delicate than the plastic margarita glasses so you don’t want to fill it up too heavy for someone who might have trouble holding it. There are perfectly acceptable plastic margarita glasses for that. It’s available at Amazon.com for a great price, you can purchase it here.
Sometimes it’s the little details that make the biggest difference. A lot of times people who are making margaritas decide to cut corners and just use the supplies they already have instead of buying specific items designed to help you make a better margarita and a better margarita party.
One of those supplies is frequently a salt rimmer and lime serving try. It’s got a very basic function, to allow you to add salt to your rim in style, and to hold the cut up limes for your guests. Can you do the same thing with a basic plate? Sure. Does it work as well? I’d say definitely no.
When you get a salt rimmer and lime server set you will usually get the following including:
- - A 3 of 4 peice set for topping off your favorite margarita.
- - Cutting board to slice up the limes and a tray for serving.
- - Rim shot glasses with salt and a salt-rimming lid
- - They will usually be dishwasher safe, this is important.
You can usually expect to pay around $20, and for such a small price, you really do get a lot of use out of it and just this little added accessory can go a long ways in making your margaritas taste and look better. You can purchase this set here.
When most people think of margaritas they think of giant margarita glasses filled with a colorful icy beverage and maybe some crazy straws. Hardly do they ever think of shots, but why not?
Margaritas are great for shots but most people just don’t know how to make them or haven’t really thought of doing it. It’s a nice way for people who enjoy drinking tequila but don’t like it straight up, and who can blame them? Yuck. Here are some basic instructions and a guide to make your very first margarita shot.
Fortunately, you don’t have to have special glasses for your margarita shots, so don’t worry about having to buy anything new. You can use your normal shot glasses, but remember that since you will be salting the rims, they need to be fairly thick. Shot glasses are usually pretty thick to begin with so that shouldn’t be a problem.

- - So once you have your margarita shot glass picked out, wet the rim and put it upside down in the salt (Use a Salt Rimmer if you have one) to get it good and coated with the right amount of salt. If you want, you can let people do this themselves as it adds to the entertainment, plus some people like more salt than others.
- - The amount of tequila you use can vary, but typically and an easy way of doing it without having to break out the measuring utensils is simply to fill it half-way. The type of tequila you use will of course vary, but from my experience Agave Blanco tequila is the best to use.
- - This step varies, but for the sake of making this how-to easy enough, we will add 1/4 of Triple Sec. This too will vary depending on taste, but for my recommendation, 1/4 is a good amount to start with.
- - Finally, add 1/4 lime juice from either a freshly cut lime (Probably the best option), or the small lime juice bottles they sell at the store.
